You may all have been patiently waiting for an update from Moonlight Label Connected newspaper. Well here is the latest………………
The Michael Charles Connected 2011 tour is in mid-year and in full swing. The year started out with a cold and long trek out to Wyoming and then up to one of Michael’s most famous venues Blues on Whyte in Alberta Canada. A favorite there, MC performed his week long nights of shows and then made his way back to Minnesota for an encore performance at Legend's and then over to Fargo North Dakota where he did two shows at the Fargo North Dakota Blues Fest. After a brief stop back to his home base in Chicago, the band started back out to Wyoming and this time added Colorado, Utah, and Washington to the itinerary. Next stop, after some rough and steep and icy mountain travel was beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. Charles spread his talents on the stages of several venues and was fortunate to gain new audiences and connect with new following.
After returning to Chicago for a much needed rest, Michael packed up again for more shows in Michigan and Ohio. April took Michael really back home as he successfully toured Australia. This time his Australian tour had a special meaning as he reunited with his former back up singer of twenty some years ago, Jet, and his former road manager, Mick Kay. Greg Williams, his record producer from Dex Audio and Newmarket Music was on board as well. As he “stepped back” in time, Michael shot forward in the Australian music circuit and there are already big plans for a 2012 tour.
In May MC returned to the studio to proceed with the never ending pursuit of new recordings. Along with a few shows including the Metro Chicago Blues –N- BBQ, a “Music in the Air” special put on by the Chicago Aviation Department as he performed at O'Hare International Airport to kick off Blues Festival weekend in Chicago. June sees Michael traveling to Indiana to play two nights at the famous Ribfest in Fort Wayne Indiana. June and July will also include dates at the Chicago House of Blues, Lovells of Lake Forest, the FirefightersBlues Festival in North Liberty, Indiana, and a special show as they cruise down the river in New York. The rest of the year promises some new shows in some exciting new venues along with more encore shows from venues visited in 2010.
