July 2018

In 2018 a five year project came to it's completion in the form of the documentary "All I Really Know from A to Z" about the life and musical career of Michael Charles. Proud of the combined efforts and countless hours of producer Michael Charles, Australian film director Salik Silverstein, the wizardry of record producer Greg Williams and audio engineer Daniel Desiere of Dex audio Australia, the talents of Salvatore Galassia from Sammary Studio, along with the script writing, the stellar narration from Derek Los, the keen eye of photographer Joe Wyse, along a myriad of other talented photographers, technicians, graphic artists, and contributors, the documentary hit the airwaves on several public stations and became accessible on Amazon Prime Video. Now in 2019 the documentary will be available to the world in DVD form. The DVD will culminate the documentary along with almost two hours of music videos and bonus material. The documentary CD soundtrack aptly named "Soundtracked" will follow thereafter.

We are also very pleased at Moonlight Label and Sammary Studio to announce a special project in the form of a new album to be released 2019. The CD is a collection of the recordings from Michael Charles that originally came out on 45 rpm. You will be treated to songs such as "I’m A Puppet' , "Feel The Magic" "My Lady", "Rock “n” Roll Music", and "She’s My Woman", plus many more selections. Sure to be a unique addition to our merchandise table the CD will also be available on our online store at www.michaelcharles.us.

Speaking of recordings and excitement, Michael Charles plans on filling up his non-touring days in 2019 to commence working on a brand new album with all brand new songs. We have anticipated this for a long time and hope his schedule will allow him to bring forth this new release to you in the not too far future.

The new tour is Soundtracked 2019 and already on the touring schedule for 2019 is a concert on the glorious Mainstage Theater at Pheasant Run in St Charles Illinois. After that we will be heading up to the infamous Wilebski's Blues Saloon in St. Paul Minnesota and then moving over to Wisconsin to grace the stage at the Chippewa Valley Cultural Association / Heyde Center for the Arts. In February the band will head down to southern Illinois. For April a tour for Florida is in the works and May / June they will travel out west and then up to Canada. August will take them back out to Florida for the Lima Blues Fest and various venues. September they will perform in Laporte Indiana for the La Porte County Blues Festival and then over to Bascom Iowa for The Soul Shine Blues Festival. In October the band will make a return trip to Canada and in November December out west once again. It looks like a wonderfully busy year already.

Please watch the schedule at michaelcharles.us for concerts near you. The schedule also appears on Bandsintown, Facebook, Reverbnation, Songkick, Number1Music, Eventful, and Pollstar! And as always......... Michael Charles hope to see you "somewhere, someplace, sometime".
